While it’s not necessarily a ride of the adrenaline pumping variety, Eiffel Tower – The Ride is hands down one of the most magnificent tourist attractions Las Vegas has to offer. Located inside the replica Eiffel Tower standing in front of Paris Las Vegas, you’ll take the slow-moving elevator to the top of the tower and onto the observation deck.
What makes the ride to the deck unique is that you’re inside a windowed elevator and as you ascend to the top of the Eiffel Tower, you’ll go from being inside the casino to the “guts” or mainframe of the tower and then eventually into the “sky” of Las Vegas. Speakers inside the elevator car also provide a provide a brief history of the Parisian monument during the ride to the top.
Once out onto the observation deck, you’ll be treated to a 360 degree panoramic view. While you can see farther out during the day, the view is much nicer at night because the Strip will be engulfed in millions of colors and lights. From 46 stories off the ground, you’ll also have a bird's eye view of everything in the Paris hotel's immediate vicinity. You’ll also be able to see much of the entire Las Vegas Valley from the Eiffel Tower’s observation deck, but it’s not as great a view in terms of scope compared to the Stratosphere’s Observation Deck. However, especially at night, the view from the Eiffel Tower is more glamorous than the Stratosphere’s because you’ll be in the heart of the Strip, where the vast majority of the action and scenery is.
The Eiffel Tower is a great quick attraction while in Las Vegas with either friends or your loved one. For a more drawn out experience, which is also a great way to woo a significant other, there is the Eiffel Tower Restaurant, an elegant dining experience with a view of the whole city. It is located about a third of the way up the tower, but the views are still magnificent. The menu is a la carte and plenty pricey, but well worth it for a special occasion.
Tickets for Eiffel Tower – The Ride range from $7.50 to $22.00 depending on your age and package you want. The ride comes in a variety of bundle packages and is open from 9:30 am to 12:30 am.
