11-11-11 – A Lucky Day for Lovebirds in Vegas
For a city that lives and dies on luck and superstition, a big day is just around the corner. November 11, 2011, or 11-11-11 promises to be a fun day in Las Vegas.
Many of the Las Vegas hotels are planning special events or discount promotions surrounding the date – Aria, for example, will have $11 food and dining specials. Another promotion of note is happening at all of the Station Casinos poker rooms, where anyone who flops quad Jacks (while holding two Jacks) will receive $11,111! That’s a huge bonus payout! Get your friends together, try to sit together, and fold all day in hopes of hitting it big!
The establishments expecting the biggest crowds, however? Wedding chapels. Not unlike previous dates October 10, 2010 or the insanely popular July 7, 2007, wedding chapels in Las Vegas are booked solid. Wedding chapels up and down The Strip expect to wed twice as many couples as compared to a typical weekend. To accommodate the overcrowding at the chapels, several hotels throughout the city will bolster their wedding ceremony capacities, bringing in ordained ministers to help accommodate last minute lovebirds.
