In short, Deal Swap is an email alert system that guarantees travelers receive the best rate for their Las Vegas hotel room.
One of the most popular questions we receive here at Vegas Hotel Hunt is “How far in advance should I book my hotel room?” Our answer was always a little complex. In general, we find that the best rates are typically offered 1-2 months ahead of the travel date. Of course there exist plenty of exceptions – popular travel weekends, booking source, or special hotel promotions to name a few.
For our more “advanced” deal finders, however, we always mentioned one great tip – most Las Vegas hotel deals are fully refundable. In other words, as soon as you know you are headed to Las Vegas, book the best rate you can find. Then, keep an eye on the promotions. If a better deal comes along, cancel your existing reservation and rebook with the new rate.
With Deal Swap, we’ve just made the process a whole lot easier. Here’s how it works:
1. Book Your Room Today
First, as soon as you know you’re headed to Vegas, book your room using the best deal you can find. Just make sure you book a refundable room. You can browse our list of hotel deals (almost all are fully refundable) or find one somewhere else, it doesn’t matter.
2. Sign up for Deal Swap
Sign up for a Deal Swap account (it’s completely free). Let us know when you’re headed to Las Vegas, where you’re staying and what you’re paying. Then, sit back and relax. Between the day you sign up and the day of your trip, we’ll keep an eye on all of the promotions for your hotel.
3. Rebook and Save
If we find a better rate for your stay, we’ll send an email your way! Rebook your room with the lower rate, cancel your old reservation, and save the difference! Pocket your savings, or reward yourself with a little something extra while on your trip, it’s up to you!

Does deal swap track the actual rates for your trip, or is it just a generic “rates starting from” thing?
