July Site Updates, Additions
Here at Vegas Hotel Hunt we’re always trying to help make your next Vegas vacation a success. The site was launched back in 2007 when we saw a need to compile all of the hotel deals from around the web. Nearly five years later, we never thought the site would turn into what it has become today. With this in mind, we’re happy to announce a few additions to the site that were launched in July. Hopefully they will help make your Vegas travel planning a little bit easier!
Attractions galore on our new page of Things to do in Las Vegas!
First and foremost, we’ve been working hard on our Attractions section this summer, and we’re happy to report that we’ve just added another 20 or so items on our “Things to Do in Las Vegas” page. Like all of our other attractions pages, everything is plotted on a map on the left, and each individual profile page includes photos, video and social media along with a quick review of the attraction.
Today, our total count on the page stands at 42. We have the Las Vegas Strip area pretty well covered, but will be adding a few more from the surrounding area in the coming months!
The other major change is the inclusion of a comparison button next to each hotel on our deals page. It let’s you quickly compare our hotel prices to the popular online travel agencies (think Orbitz, Expedia, Hotels.com). The button is small, but represents a big change in our philosophy.
We’ve long spoken out against the OTAs when it comes to Las Vegas hotels. In Las Vegas, booking directly with the hotel usually ends up being cheaper. Beyond that, the reservation is almost always fully refundable. The good news is that the online travel agencies are improving. More and more OTA reservations are refundable and the rates are increasingly inline.
It’s still a good bet that you’ll secure the best rate by booking directly with the Las Vegas hotel. That said, our comparison button lets you quickly check the other popular online travel outlets, just in case. We’re all about finding the best hotel rate in Las Vegas, regardless of on which site it resides.
As always, we love to hear your feedback. Head on over to our contact page and let us know how we can help make your upcoming trip the best it can be.
