December weather in Las Vegas can be cold (relatively speaking) with highs in the mid 50s. It's a rare occurrence, but you might even see some snow! The weather is too cold for both swimming and golf, but a brave traveler would still enjoy a walk down the Strip.
If you don't like the cold, the Las Vegas Monorail and tram systems are a great alternative to get around the Strip.
